Introduction
to Jewelry – Spring 2012
Instructor:
Jeanne Bennett
A few
students took the Introduction to Jewelry course for the art or humanities
credit, while others found that the class caught their interest or thought it
would be something fun to do. One student, Kailey Benson, took the class
because she “thought it would be nice to make [her] own jewelry.” Another
student, Brandy Todt, of the Visual Arts degree, decided to take this course in
order to “learn specific techniques so that [she] can turn her [jewelry-making]
hobby into a business.”
During their
last class students displayed their jewelry projects. Friends, family members,
students, and administrative staff were invited into the classroom to view
student work.
